 Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday visited the revered Kamakhya Temple and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and development of Assam, coinciding with the polling day for the 2026 Assembly elections.
Accompanied by his family, the Chief Minister performed rituals at the temple, one of the most prominent Shakti Peethas in the country, located atop the Nilachal Hills in Guwahati. He expressed hope for the well-being of the people and continued progress of the state.
