Eminent Jurist Fali S Nariman and a senior advocate passed away on 21 february he was aged 95 years , he died at his residence in Delhi, Jurist awarded Padma Bhushan in 1991 and Padma Vibhusham in 2007. He was also nominated member of the Rajya Sabha from 1999-2005. He was alumuns of Goverenmenr Law College, Mumbai and he began his first practice at Bombay High Court and later on he moved to Delhi, where he was appointed as Solicitor General of India (AGS) by tge Indira Gandhi goverenment.
Nariman also the President of The Bar Association from 1991-2010. Nariman also resigned from the post when the national emergency was imposed by the Indira Gandhi in 1975 and continued to practice the law privately.
His autobiography "Before memory fades" is a widely read book, especially among law students and young lawyers acting as asouce of inspiration for them. "The state of Nation", "God save the Hon'ble Supreme Court" are some of his books.
He wrote in his autobiography as he said 'I have lived and flourished in a secular India, in the fullness of time if God wills, I would also like to die in a secular India.'
