Rescue operations are still underway, while teams from the State Disasaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Management Response Force (NDRF)working tirelessly
to free other workers trapped inside a mine.
Three workers have been confirmed d*ead in the coal mine incident in Assam's Umrangso, their body discovered floating in the flooded mine, but recovery operations are still underway.
Rescued operations were launched immediately with teams consisting of local authorities, emergencies and responders and mining experts working to locate and free the trapped workers as officials said.
Senior officials have arrived at the site are coordinating with the civil administration to ensure the swift and efficient rescue.
