Former Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Friday sworn as 19th Governor of Manipur at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal, as Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur, Justice D Krishnakumar
administered the oath of office
Bhalla replaced Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, who was holding the additional charge in Manipur.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Manipur CM N Biren Singh, State Assembly Speaker Th Stayabrata, former Chief Minister Ibobi Singh, Manipur DGP Rajiv Singh, ministers of State cabinet, MLAs
and other goverenment senior officials.
