The Deputy Commisssioner of Police issued certain restrictions about visiting Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Guwahati on April 29 Monday
Shah will campaign for BJP candidate Bijuli Kalita Medhi. Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a road show in Guwahati. The road show will be held from the city's bicycle factory to Lal Ganesh. Amit Shah will attend a two-km road show. Amit Shah will arrive in Guwahati at 3:30 pm today. Amit Shah's road show will be held from 5 pm to 6 pm. The road show will be accompanied by dance and music performances on 10 temporary stages.
Below are the roads in the city that will be closed to traffic:
*NH-17 VIP Flyover to Jalukbari Rotary, DG Road Jalukbari Rotary to Machkowa, MG Road Machkowa to Bharlu Bridge, RKC Road Bharlu Railway Gate 9 to Fatashil Chariali, AK Dev Road Fatashil Chariali to Garhchuk Chariali,
* FA Road Ambari Tinali to Cycle Factory Tinali, AK Azad Road Lokhara to Arya Nagar Flyover and BK Kakati Road Ulubari to Arya Nagar Flyover will be closed from 12 noon to 9 pm
All ASTC and private city buses will run from LGBI Airport via NH-17 to Mashkhoa, DG Road Jalukbari Rotary to Machkowa, MG Road Machkowa to Bharlu Bridge, AK Dev Fatashil Chariali to Garhchuk Chariali from 1 pm on April and AK Azad Road from Lakhra to Arya Nagar flyover.
Traffic will be closed on AK Azad Road from Birubari Tin aAli, near Arya Nagar Flying Bridge to Lal Ganesh Tin Ali from 2 pm.
This restriction shall not in any way impede the movement of emergency vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, life-saving medicine vehicles, vehicles carrying oxygen cylinders and school buses.
