Indian satellite operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has captured detailed images of the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh
The scale of the world's largest religious gathering, which is drawing crores of people from across the world to take a dip at the Sangam.
The Maha Kumbh, or the Poorna Kumbh, held every 12 years, began on January 13 and will continue for 45 days till February 26, more than eight crore devotees, Kalpavasis and seers have taken a holy dip in Triveni Sangam. An official statements, Uttar Pradesh government estimates that more than 45 crore people will attend the Maha Kumbh Mela.
The high resolutions images were captured by EOS-O4 (RISAT-1A)'C' band microwave satellite, with its all-weather capability. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri shared some of these images on X saying, "The Indian Space Research Organisation has released stunning images of the Maha Kumbh Mela as seen from space."
