The Indian Air Force is completing 90 years of foundation today, October 8, 2022. It was established on October 8, 1932.
Around 80 military aircraft and helicopters from Prachanda to Tejas and Sukhoi will take part in the flight held at 8 Sukhna Lake Complex in Chandigarh today on the occasion of Air Force Day. Through today's event, the brave soldiers of the Indian Air Force will not only showcase their skills but also introduce the world to india's sky power. The Indian Air Force will perform well with several aircraft during its air show to celebrate its 90th anniversary. It is to be noted that the annual Air Force Day parade and flight past are being held outside Delhi-NCR for the first time.
President Draupadi Murmu and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also be present at Sukhna Lake to witness the iaf's aerial energy demonstration. President Murmu will be the chief guest on the occasion of fly pastor. Ahead of the air show, a formal parade will be held at the Air Force Base this morning. The parade will be inspected by Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhary. The Iaf chief will unveil a new format of combat uniforms for iaf personnel on the occasion. Tight security arrangements have been put in place ahead of the Air Force Day celebrations.
According to an Air Force official, the advanced light helicopter will pass a fly past at the Rudra structure at the MK-IVy parade event. It is to be noted that the programme will showcase a demonstration by the Mechanical Transport Team for the destruction and reconnection of the vehicle in a short span of time. An air warrior drill team will then perform themselves. A fly past will be organised later in the day at Sukhna Lake. Thus the strength of the Indian Air Force will be demonstrated in the sky of Chandigarh today.
