Elections are the biggest festival of democracy. The largest election in the world's largest democracy. The first phase of polling for the 18th Lok Sabha elections will be held today. According to Election Commission sources, the number of polling officers in the first phase of elections across the country is more than 1.8 million. More than 166.3 million voters will decide the fate of candidates in the first phase of the election.
According to Election Commission sources, 8.7 million polling stations have been set up for the first phase of the polls. According to sources, 84 million male, 82.3 million female and 11,371 third gender voters are among the voters in the first phase of the polls. 35.67 lakh voters across the country will cast their ballots for the first time in the first phase of the polls. The fate of 1,625 candidates will be decided today in the first phase of the polls.
