The Kamrup Metropolitian District administration in Assam declared dry days in entire Kamrup Metro district, including Guwahati from 4 PM of April 17 to April 19 in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Meghalaya.
During this period, all wholesale, warehoused, bonded warehouses, IMFL retail ON and OFF shops, microbrewery, amd country spirit shops are to remain closed as per reports.
"Any violation of the order shall be dealt the under the relevant provisions of the Assam Excise Act and Rules & under the provision of section 135 (c) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 in respect of holding 1st phase of General Elections, 2024 in the state of the Meghalaya, issued by the Excise department.
