The BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world. It is not wrong to say that the ICC is the driving force. The Indian Cricket Board (ICB) has lagged behind the England and Australian cricket boards financially.
However, despite being a rich cricket board, there are repeated complaints that the financial situation of Indian domestic cricketers is not very good. Some cricketers have earned crores of rupees playing in the IPL. Compared to them, cricketers who played in the Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare earn much less.
