The Indian Meterological department (IMD) on Monday warned with the temperatures surpassing 46 degrees Celsius at six of the fifteen, NCR weather stations.This expected in punjab, haryana, and Delhi until May 23 in Rajasthan over the next three days and in Uttar Pradesh may 21.

According to the reports, IMD has forecast a heatwave and hot humid and weather warning for the next seven days in New Delhi.

The maximum temperature will range between 44 and 47 degrees Celsius.

It's highlighted in a circular, the Directorate of Education in Delhi said all the schools were directed to observe summer vacation from May 11 to June 30 for this academic year and all the govt schools are closed but some private schools are still open during the ongoing severe heat waves.
