A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed before the Delhi High Court asking that CM Arvind Kejriwal who is in judicial custody for liquor policy scam, to run the goverenment from jail
The PIL comes after the courts rejects two PILs asking that Kejriwal be not allowed to govern Delhi from jail
The plea, moved by Advocate Shrikant Prasad seeks for necessary arrangements for Kejriwal to conduct virtual conferencing with cabinet ministers to ensure the goverenance of Delhi continues seamlessly
Its highlighted the PIL argues that neither Indian Constitution nor any law prohibits ministers, including the Chief Ministers, from governing while in jail.
AAP leader Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are also involved in this case, while Sisodia remains in jail, Singh was granted bail by the Supreme Court, the ED alleges Kejriwal of Rs 100 crore.
