Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleged in a money laundering case with exise policy scam is set to be heared tomorrow , March 26 by the Delhi High Court.
The plea, his six-day remand will be presented before Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma at 10:30 AM, Kejriwal was taken into custody on March 21 and subsequently to the ED custody till March 28 by a trial court. Kejriwal had approached the court to quash ans set aside for all proceedings , including summonses issued against him. The AAP legal team argues that his arrest and detention are unlawful, advocating for his immediate release. Kejriwal arrest sought interim protection from coercive action from the Delhi High Court which was denied bty a division bench.
Kejriwal had failed with summonses issued by the ED, the agency has already arrested atleast 14 top AAP leaders including Manish Siaodia and Sanjay Singh, in a connection with the case and presently in a judicial custody.
