Supreme Court of India of the Suo Moto case of the trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, on Tuesday 20 August slammed West Bengal Goverenment and police over the handling of the case.

 A bench comprising Chief justice of India DY Chandrachud expressed concerns over the widespread of victims identity, along with photographs and video clips of the doctor, have been spread all over the various social media platform.

 

Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal representing for the State of West Bengal, said that the photos were taken and circulated before the police reached.

Court also questioned, hospital Principal, delays in filing the FIR and the vandalism which took place at the hospital during a public protest on August 14, the bench questioned why the Principal was given the charge of another hospital after he resigned from RG Kar Hospital.

Bench also questioned about the timing of FIR, Senior Advocate Sibal said that an 'Unnatural Death' case was registered immediately, asserting that there was no undue in the filing FIR.
