Due to the pricing, the common consumer, who is already in trouble, is again shocked. In fact, today Amul and Mother Dairy have announced an increase in milk prices. The new price of milk of both brands will be effective from tomorrow i.e. from August 17, 2022.
The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) said the prices of all types of milk sold under the Amul brand have been increased by 4 per cent. Shortly thereafter, Mother Dairy also announced an increase in the price of its milk by Rs 2 per litre.
The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation said the price of Amul brand milk has been increased by Rs 2 per litre. In such a situation, 500 ml packets of Amul Gold will be sold for Rs 25 and half a litre packet of Amul Shakti will be sold for Rs 28.
Why has the price of milk been increased?
The increase of Rs 2 per litre is very less as compared to rising inflation. Now customers in many states including Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, West Bengal, Mumbai will have to pay more for milk than before. This is the second increase from both the companies this year.
