Young forward Dallalmuon Gangte delivered a scintillating performance as NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) booked a place in the final of the Guwahati Premier Football League (GPFL) with a dominant victory in the semi-final at Judges Field, Guwahati.
Gangte was the star of the match, scoring all four goals as NEUFC registered a comprehensive 4–1 win over Oil India Limited, stamping their authority from the outset and showcasing their attacking prowess.
The India U-17 international opened the scoring early in the match, putting NEUFC firmly in control. He went on to complete a remarkable four-goal haul, dismantling the Oil India defence and ensuring the Highlanders faced little resistance on their way to the final.
Oil India Limited managed to pull back a consolation goal, but the outcome was never in doubt as NEUFC dominated possession and dictated the tempo throughout the contest.
The win marks a significant milestone for NorthEast United FC, who will now compete in their first-ever GPFL final, reflecting the club’s growing emphasis on youth development and grassroots football in the region.
NEUFC are set to face Sunrise Athletic Club in the final, scheduled to be played on Sunday, where they will look to cap off their impressive campaign with the title.
