Postal voting also known as absentee voting where a method of voting in which electors cast their ballots by mail or rather than a person at a polling station.
Eligibility For Postal Ballots:
For media persons authorsied by Commisission for coverage on poll day:-
*Firstly, collect from 12D from office DEO/RO, can be downloaded from the website also of DEO/CEO
*Submit from 12D along with certificate from Nodal Officer to RO of the PC within the period following five days protocols, as per electiom schedule for PC.
*Voting through postal ballot starts six days before the poll day and end three days before poll day (p-6 to p-3).
*The applicant has go to the voting centres as intimated by RO to cast his vote through postal ballot.
*It maybe noted that once a postal ballot is apporoved by RO, the voters cannot cast his/her vote at the polling station on poll day.
Postal ballots offer a valuable option for eligible voters who are unable to vote in person, by facilitating and accessibility in the electoral process, ensuring that every voice is heard and counted.
