CM Himanta Biswa Sarma taking part in Motorcycle Rally....

On Tuesday 27 February, CM took part in motorcycle rally from Kareng Chapori in Dhemaji district to Matmara in Dhakuakhana of Lakhimpur district to attend the even of Basundhara 2.0.

Sarma made several stops, engaging with the enthusiastic crowds that gathered along the route to catch a glimpse of the leader, the people cheered and greeted Sarma during his journey towards his Majuli. CM also speak with the locals and took his time and understand their needs and concerns.

He also expressed his words over the fact that many families in Majuli had been living without land pattas for decades.

Sarma also mentioned  the distribution of land titles is a part of the goverenment to provide security of land rights to indigenous of the state, he also said Majuli is the largest river island in the world inhabitated by indigenous and tribal people. He also highlighted there more than 30,000 out of 50,000 familes who has been risiding on the island and do not have land pattas even after the 75  years of Independence.
