The situation in Sri Lanka is grim. There is no electricity in the hospital, no food to take any medicines. Now it is as if this is a normal situation in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
It has also come to light recently that a heart patient was treated in the light of a mobile flash in a Sri Lankan hospital. Hospitals have also been directed to sterilize and reuse the endotracheal tubes used to supply oxygen to the infant's lungs. Which is also likely to increase the infection.
Sri Lanka is facing serious shortage of essential medicines used in hospitals.
