Eknath Shinde Is New Maharashtra Chief Minister

Devendra Farnavis and Eknath Shinde addressed the media after an interview with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshari.

Former chief minister Farnavis announced that Eknath Shinde will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Devendra Farnavis says he will be out of government. Only Eknath Shinde will take oath at 7.30 pm today.

Devendra Farnavis says the people gave majority to Mahavikas Aghari. The BJP was the biggest party after the elections. The BJP-Shiv Sena contested the elections through alliances, but shiv sena formed the government in alliance with Congress and NCP.

Eknath Shinde said that we have come together for the development of Maharashtra.We had trouble working in the Mahavikas Aghari government. We told Uddhav Thackeray in this regard. We tried to explain our side. We had a natural alliance with the BJP. Some decisions on Hindutva were finally taken by the government as we took the thought of Balasaheb Thackeray.
