GATE 2026 Result to Be Announced on March 19; Scorecards Available from March 27

The results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026 will be declared on March 19, 2026. The examination this year is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), which will release the results on the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal.
Candidates who appeared for the national-level engineering entrance exam will be able to check their results by logging into the official website using their enrollment ID or registered email ID and password. The result will display important details such as marks obtained, All India Rank (AIR), qualifying status, and category-wise cut-offs.
According to the schedule released by IIT Guwahati, the GATE 2026 scorecards will be available for download from March 27 to May 31, 2026 free of cost. After this period, candidates will still be able to download their scorecards by paying a prescribed fee.
To download the result, candidates need to visit the official GATE portal, log in through the GOAPS system, and download the scorecard in PDF format for future reference.
The GATE score remains valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results. The examination serves as a gateway for admission to postgraduate engineering programmes such as M.Tech and PhD in premier institutions including the **Indian Institutes of Technology and **National Institutes of Technology. Several public sector undertakings (PSUs) also use GATE scores for recruitment.
The GATE examination is one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance tests, attracting lakhs of candidates every year seeking higher education and career opportunities in technical fields.
