Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated a newly constructed modern Circuit House in Barpeta, marking a step forward in strengthening the district’s administrative and hospitality infrastructure.
The state-of-the-art facility has been developed to provide improved accommodation and official amenities for visiting government officials, dignitaries and guests. The project is part of the Assam government’s ongoing efforts to upgrade public infrastructure across districts and enhance the efficiency of governance.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Sarma said the government is committed to balanced regional development and improving institutional capacity in every district. He noted that modern infrastructure such as circuit houses plays an important role in facilitating official work and ensuring better coordination of government programmes.
Officials said the new Circuit House is equipped with upgraded guest rooms and essential modern facilities designed to meet contemporary standards. The facility is expected to support official meetings, administrative visits and other government-related activities in Barpeta.
The event was attended by local public representatives, senior district officials and other dignitaries.
