Assam youth Dipraj Chakrabarty has been invited to attend the 13th International Youth Conference (IYC13), scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, United States, from May 21 to 24, 2026.
Chakrabarty, founder and president of the Guwahati-based Raahein Foundation, will represent the organisation at the global forum. Established in 2021, the foundation has been engaged in various social initiatives, including support for women in need, assistance to cancer patients, and educational outreach programmes for underprivileged children.
The International Youth Conference, supported by the United Nations, is expected to bring together young leaders from over 185 countries to deliberate on key global issues such as human rights, leadership, and sustainable development.
Chakrabarty’s selection is being viewed as a significant opportunity to highlight youth-led social work from Assam on an international stage.
