On April 8 to 12 National Senior Women's Classic Powerlifting Championship 2024 held in Hyderabad, Assam has ranked overall third position.
Two powerlifter from Assam, Okmya Seng Chakhap stood first 84kg, open category with 80 points, while Bhaswati Gogoi secured the second position in the 69kg- open category
Three other powerlifters from Assam including Sharmila Sinha, Syed Samina Razin and Kuki Borah also participated in the five-day championship.
