ISRO Chief Somanath diagonsed with Cancer before Aditya-L1 mission Launch....

In a interview ISRO Chief Somanath disclosed infront of Taramk Media House that a growth had been detected during a medical routine scan in his stomach.

Somanath said that he was diagonsed on the very day before the Aditya L1 mission was launched the diagonsis came as a shock not only him but  family and his colleague, he also underwent an operation followed by chemotherapy. Subsequent scans in Chennai confirmed the presence of heriditary disease, and it was confirmed that he had a significant health challenge  to confront alongside his professional responsibilites.

On September 2, 2023 as India's first based solar observatory, Aditya L1, embraked on it journey to study the Sun.

Moreover, his recovery has been nothing short of miraculous after just four days in the hospital, he resumeed his duties at ISRO
working the fifth day without any pain.

Somanath said, I will be undergoing regular checkups and scans now part of his routine, and he declared himself fully cured and back to work.
