On February 23, Guwahati Congress Bhagbor MLA Sherman Ali and AIUDF legislator were briefly suspended from House by speaker Biswajit Daimary for disrupting the Assembly today.
During the session, Sherman Ali had brought the 'Calling Attention' highlighted severe inregularities in recently held schools evalution system 'Gunotsav'.
In his reply Education Minister Ranoj Pegu replied Ahmed's queries, but the opposition member was not happy with the explaination, After Pegu's reply Ahmed continued to criticise the Education Department and asked for accountability.
However, Speaker Biswajit Diamary repeatedly asked the opposite member to sit down as the minister already replied and there is no provision of supplementary questioning in Calling Attention, when Ahmed obey the rules andcontinued to raise objections to the minister's reply, Daimary suspended the member.
AIDUF MLA Ashraful Hussain also protested Speaker's order and why Ahmed has suspended while he was also raising a important issue affecting the education of the state.
Daimary said who are you to argue with me? You are also suspended.
House Marsha;s came towards the seats of the two suspended MLAs who were escorted ou the hall yesterday.
