India's Sumit Antil today won a gold medal in the Javelin Throw at the ongoing Paralympics in Tokyo.
Sumit Antil scored a 68.55m throw to win a gold medal for the country at the Paralympics and set a new record.
Sumit broke his previous record in setting a new world record.
Gold medallist Neeraj Chopra was excited after Sumit won a gold medal in the Javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics.
"Amazing performance brother. Proud of you," niraj chopra wrote, wishing Sumit Antil.
On the other hand, video of Sumit Antill doing Javelin Throw with the help of an artificial leg which is 68.08 m distance has gone viral on social media.
This is India's second gold medal at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics.
The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as sports minister Anurag Singh Thakur also highly praised gold winner Javelin thrower Sumit.
