Nominations Filed in Jorhat District for Assam Assembly Elections

 The nomination process for the Assam Assembly elections gathered momentum in Jorhat district on Tuesday, with several candidates filing their papers from key constituencies.
Among the prominent candidates, Gaurav Gogoi filed his nomination from the Jorhat Assembly constituency, marking his electoral debut in the state polls. The Congress leader is expected to face a strong challenge from the BJP’s sitting MLA Hitendra Nath Goswami, setting up a high-profile contest in the constituency.
The nomination filing witnessed political enthusiasm, with candidates accompanied by party workers and supporters in rallies and processions before submitting their papers at the district administration office.
