US President Donald Trump has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the White House, a White House official confirmed early Tuesday.
The invitation comes days after a recent phone call between the two leaders on January 27 in which they discussed several issues, including immigration, the importance of India purchasing more American-made security equipment and fostering fair trade relations between two countries.
The leaders also discussed PM Modi's forthcoming visit to the White House and Indian's role Quad Leaders Summit later this year ties between two nations.
In 2023-24, bilateral trade exceeding USD 118 billion, with India's reporting trade surplus of USD 32 billion with the US during this period.
