On Monday 26 February Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma presided aevent in Dhakuakhana Legislative Constituency (LAC) in Assam Lakhimpur district, where he took part in the distribution of land pattas to 11,483 as a part of Mission Basundhara 2.0
It is a aimed providing land rights to indigenous communities, and ensure a dignified existence, CM Sarma highlighted the challenges faced by the non-tribals indigenous communities in tribal belts, which Mission Basundara 2.0 seeks to address.
As per reports, 12,143 beneficiaries under Sissiborgaon Legislative Assembly constituency will be receiving land pattas while 11,438 individuals under Dhakuakhana LAC will be recieving the land patts today.
The land pattas distribution programme will be held on Doni Polo Culture Comple, Silapathar under Dhemaji district while in Lakhimpur, the programme will be held at Dhakuakhana's Public Field.
Hence, CM outlined the plans for Mission Basundhara 3.0 which will focus allotiong in land pattas to both institution and individuals, with rexaled rules to minimise rejections.
CM said the Goverenment will recruit 1-Lakh youth into services of the Goverenment of Assam.
Mission 2.0 was specifically launched to address the indigenous people, offering a new sense of hope to these communities.
