Good news. Mahabahu will be another new bridge (Bridge) on the Brahmaputra (Brahmaputra River). The bridge will connect Bastranagari Suwalkusi to Palashbari in South Kamrup.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma shared this on Twitter and said that he was grateful to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for sanctioning Rs 3094 crore for construction of a new bridge over Brahmaputra connecting Palashbari and Suwalkushi. The bridge will significantly reduce the travel time and distance between Guwahati and adjoining districts.

The bridge will significantly cut down the journey time & distance between Guwahati & its adjoining northern districts.
On the other hand, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today performed 'Bhoomi Pujan' of the 120 MW Lower Kapili Hydroelectric Project at Lankau in Dima Hasao, Assam. Sitharaman was accompanied by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma and Power Minister Bimal Bora.
