The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released a revised schedule for Round 3 of the NEET PG counselling process for admission to postgraduate medical courses under the Assam state quota for the current academic session.
According to the updated notification, the revision has been made following changes in the national counselling timeline and directions from the competent authorities. The revised Round 3 counselling will cover vacant MD, MS and diploma seats in government medical colleges across the state.
As per the new schedule, online registration for Round 3 counselling will begin on January 27 and continue until January 29 (midnight). Eligible candidates must complete the registration process through the official DME Assam portal within the stipulated time.
The choice filling and preference submission window will remain open from January 30 to February 2 (up to 5 pm). Candidates will be required to carefully select their preferred colleges and courses. The choice locking facility will be available on February 2 from 4 pm to 11:55 pm.
The seat allotment process will be carried out on February 3 and 4, while the Round 3 seat allotment result is scheduled to be published on February 7. Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective institutions for document verification and admission between February 11 and February 12.
DME Assam clarified that the counselling process will be conducted strictly in accordance with the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021, as amended from time to time.
Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official DME Assam website for updates and ensure timely completion of all counselling formalities, as failure to adhere to the revised schedule may lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.
