There is a swine flu scare in the state. A child died of swine flu. The little girl was diagnosed with swine flu along with influenza. The figures were released by the health department. There is a swine flu outbreak in Hailakandi district.
A child was admitted to the SK Roy Civil Hospital in Hailakandi a few days ago. The victim was admitted to the Silchar Medical College Hospital. The child was taken home while undergoing treatment. The child died at home on Sunday night.
The child was infected with swine flu, the Hailakandi health department said. As per reports,  the city's Joint Director of Health, Dr. Alkananda Nath, told a press conference today. The H1N1 and H3N2 viruses have been found in children. Another teenager, Kamran Ahmed Chowdhury, from Katakhal area of the district, is also undergoing treatment for the same disease, Joint Director of Health Dr Alkananda Nath said.
