Hamida Banu Begum was the empress consort of Mughal Emperor Humayun II and mother of his successor, Mughal Emperor Akbar III. She was given the title of Mariam Makani by her son Akbar. She also bore the title of Padshah Begum during the reign of Akbar. Hamida Banu Begum is considered to be India's first professional female wrestler.
