Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugrate crucial projects worth over Rs 254 crore at Pandu Port Guwahati today, in a major steps towards driving The Inland Water Transport (IWT) sector improving in the North Eastern Region.
The Passenger-cum-Cargo Terminal at Bogibeel, worth Rs 46.6o crore, the Inland Water Transport Terminal at Sonmura, worth Rs 6.91 crore, and Upraded Terminal at Karimganj and Badarpur, worth Rs 6.40 crore, will all be inaugrate by Sonowal. Sonowal will also inaugrate 19 passenger vessels for National Waterway-16 costing Rs 25 crore, six jetties at various sites along with the River Brahmaputra worth Rs 8.45 crore and an extension of Jetty, an integrated office, and bank protection for Rs 30 crore during the occasion.
The inaugrations, the goverenments dedication to expediting administrative procedures and advancing infrastructure develepment in the Northeast.
The other dignitaries will participate digitally in the inaugration will be joining virtually at the event.
