GATE 2026: IIT Guwahati opens answer key objection window on GOAPS

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has opened the objection window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 provisional answer key on the GOAPS portal, enabling candidates to challenge discrepancies within the stipulated deadline.
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access the provisional answer key, master question papers and their individual response sheets by logging into the official GOAPS portal. The facility to raise objections will remain available until February 28, 2026.
To challenge any answer, candidates must submit their objections online along with the prescribed fee for each question. The institute will review all representations before releasing the final answer key.
GATE 2026 was conducted between February 7 and February 15 across multiple sessions nationwide. Officials have clarified that the question papers and options were shuffled during the examination, and the displayed responses correspond to the order seen by candidates during the test.
After examining the objections, IIT Guwahati will publish the final answer key, which will form the basis for the declaration of results. The GATE 2026 scorecard will include candidates’ marks, All India Rank (AIR) and qualifying status.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify their responses and submit challenges, if any, within the deadline through the GOAPS portal.
