Election authorities conducted a training programme for polling personnel in Kokrajhar as part of preparations for the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections 2026. The session was organised at Bodoland University to familiarise officials with election procedures and ensure smooth conduct of polling.
Officials said the training focused on key operational aspects, including handling of polling materials, adherence to guidelines, and roles and responsibilities of polling staff. Emphasis was laid on maintaining transparency and efficiency during the electoral process.
The exercise forms part of the broader preparedness measures being undertaken across Assam by the Election Commission of India to ensure free, fair and orderly Assembly elections in 2026.
