Dilip Mohanty and Nazneen Rahman will represent Assam and India at the upcoming PTR and PPR International Racquets Conference, scheduled to be held from February 13 at Saddlebrook Resort in Florida, USA.
Dilip Mohanty, who serves as Director of Competition and Development Affairs of the Indian Pickleball Association, and Nazneen Rahman, Secretary of the Assam Pickleball Association, are among the selected delegates invited to participate in the prestigious global meet. The conference brings together leading educators, coaches, administrators and professionals from across the world involved in racquet sports such as tennis and pickleball.
The five-day event will feature a series of workshops, certification programmes, on-court training sessions and panel discussions aimed at advancing coaching standards, player development and administrative practices in racquet sports. It will also provide a platform for international networking and the exchange of best practices.
This year’s conference holds added significance as it marks the 50th anniversary of the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), a globally recognised body in coach education and professional training. The milestone edition is expected to draw participants from several countries and focus on innovation and the future growth of racquet sports worldwide.
The participation of Mohanty and Rahman is seen as a boost for pickleball in Assam, reflecting the sport’s growing presence in the region and its increasing integration into international sporting platforms.
