Demow Police Station in Sivasagar district has been adjudged the best police station in Assam, earning a prestigious award from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, in recognition of its exemplary performance. The honour was conferred as part of the MHA’s annual evaluation of police stations across the country based on parameters such as crime control, quality of investigation, maintenance of law and order, public service delivery, and community policing initiatives.
