PM Interacts with Students in ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ Programme in Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with students from Assam as part of the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme, an initiative aimed at helping students manage exam-related stress and approach studies with confidence and positivity.
The interaction was held in Guwahati during the Prime Minister’s visit to the State, with selected students from various districts participating in the session. During the discussion, Mr. Modi addressed questions related to examination pressure, time management, mental well-being, and the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle during the academic year.
Encouraging students to view examinations as an opportunity rather than a burden, the Prime Minister emphasised the need for self-belief and discipline. He advised students to focus on understanding concepts instead of rote learning and urged them to pursue their interests alongside academics to maintain emotional and mental balance.
Mr. Modi also highlighted the role of parents and teachers in creating a stress-free environment for students. He called upon families and educators to support children by recognising individual strengths rather than comparing performance solely based on marks.
The Pariksha Pe Charcha programme, launched in 2018, has become an annual nationwide initiative where the Prime Minister directly engages with students, teachers, and parents ahead of board examinations. The programme aims to promote a healthy and positive outlook towards education while addressing concerns related to academic pressure and mental health.
The Assam interaction was part of the broader outreach under the programme, reflecting the Centre’s focus on student well-being and educational reform.
