The Border Security Force (BSF), a sub-inspector named Suman Kumari, who hails drom the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh has become first women sniper into the forces, as she completed eight-week sniper course at Central School of Weapons and Tactics (CSWT) in Indore on March 2.
The BSF Indore took to X to announce BSF is becoming an inclusive force where #ladies are taking arapid strides everywhere. In a step in this direction, after rigorous training, #BSF has got the First #Mahila Sniper.
Sumn was the lone women among 56 men and put ana amazing performance in every activity. We are hoping that more female recruits to take up similar military roles.
CSWT Bhaskar Singh Rawat highlighted that the sniper course is one of the toughest after commando training. Rawat also mentioned Suman's achievement and said she is now eligible to get posted as a sniper instructor.
