On February 25 'Baruar Xongxar', The House of Baruas, a documentary film on famous Assam-old famous house at Latashil, which was screened at the conveted Indian Panorama of 54th Film Festival of India (IFFI) in November last, will have screenings all over Assam.
The house of Barua family, which produced film-maker-actor-musician Brajen Barua, film-maker-footballer-flautist-painter Nip Barua, singer-turned-composer Ramen Barua, film-maker Dibon Barua, cricketer truned singer D'pen Barua, cricketer-piolt-entreprener-politician Girin Barua and radio broadcaaster Niren Barua.
On the occassion, journalist -turned-film-maker Utpal Borpujari picked the House and the family as the topic of his seventh cinematic venture Barua Xongxar (House of Barua).
The documentary is likely release 2022 when the house will entre its 100th years of existence. The project include Debajit Gayan mixer and cinematographer Rituraj Shivam and Nayan Jyoti Bhyuan will do the work of production sound mixer.
