Spring Fest, the annual social and cultural extravaganza of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, stands as one of Asia's largest student-organized cultural fests. Its 64th edition, celebrated from January 26-29, 2023, drew participants from over 800 colleges across India, elevating the fest's online reach to over 2 million.

The fest's journey commenced with "Hitch Hike," a nationwide preliminary round spanning ten major Indian cities. Here, a myriad of artistic events including Dance, Drama, Music, and Fashion unfolded, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. The judges' contributions in these cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Chandigarh - were instrumental in the event's success.

Advancing towards the elimination rounds, Spring Fest is poised to host further preliminaries for various events in six more cities: Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Ranchi, Guwahati, and Raipur. Participants from student communities and cultural academies are encouraged to register on eliminations.springfest.in for a chance to showcase their talents.

A highlight of the fest is the "Battle of Bands" competition, Wildfire, set to captivate audiences in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Shillong. Bands eager to etch their mark in Spring Fest's history can register at wildfire.springfest.in for a shot at the 1.5 lakh prize.

Spring Fest's array of events spans 13 genres, featuring over 130 competitions and a total cash prize of approximately INR 35 lakhs. This platform not only showcases the finest talents in India but also introduces new events each year, providing a unique experience for participants and spectators alike.

In addition to entertainment, Spring Fest takes on significant social initiatives. The previous year saw "Pukaar – Fulfilling a silent demand," addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges in communities.

Star nights, a cornerstone of Spring Fest, have historically featured renowned artists like Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, and international acts like Dead by April. These performances, alongside a rich cultural history, ensure Spring Fest remains a must-attend festival, promising grandeur and cultural vibrancy.
