The explosion of two passenger buses each has now created an atmosphere of panic in Kashmir. Militants bombed two passenger buses in Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir in a span of eight hours on Wednesday night and then on Thursday morning.
There was no loss of life due to the explosion in an empty bus parked at the bus stand. Terrorists are believed to have done this to spread panic. According to police sources, the first explosion took place in a bus parked near Domail Chowk in Udhampur around 11.45 pm on Wednesday.
Two persons were seriously injured in the incident. Around 6.30 am on Thursday, another bus parked at the old bus stand, 4 km from Domail Chowk, exploded. However, no one was injured in the blast.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir next week. Ahead of Shah's visit, terrorists are suspected to have bombed buses parked in such a way to spread panic in the Valley.
It may be recalled that in 2009, a passenger bus parked at a bus stand in Jammu exploded. Pakistan's spy agency ISI proved to be involved in the blast. Pakistani terrorist Mohammad Ashraf, who was arrested from Delhi last year, told police that the blast was carried out at the behest of ISI officer Naseer.
