India’s youngest pop boy band OutStation set Guwahati alight with a high-octane live performance on 13, drawing a crowd of over 3,000 fans and turning the city into a vibrant celebration of music, energy and youth culture.
Fresh from the release of their debut single “Tum Se,” the five-member band delivered a power-packed concert that marked another milestone in their fast-rising journey. From the moment OutStation took the stage, the atmosphere was electric, with fans singing along word for word, waving lights in unison and responding enthusiastically to the group’s dynamic stage presence.
The concert quickly transcended a conventional live performance, evolving into a shared emotional experience that highlighted the band’s growing connection with young audiences. Their seamless choreography, emotive vocals and on-stage camaraderie kept the crowd engaged throughout the night.
The Guwahati show followed closely on the heels of OutStation’s performance as the opening act for international music star Akon, with the band bringing the same confidence and polish to the Assam capital. The live rendition of “Tum Se,” a cinematic first-love ballad, triggered some of the loudest sing-alongs of the evening, reflecting the song’s increasing popularity across digital platforms.
OutStation is mentored by acclaimed Indian-American songwriter and producer Savan Kotecha, a 17-time Grammy nominee with Oscar and Golden Globe recognition, known for his collaborations with global artists such as Ariana Grande, One Direction, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding. Under his mentorship, the band blends Indian pop sensibilities with global musical influences.
The group was formed through Visva Records’ nationwide talent search and intensive training programme. Its members include Bhuvan Shetty (22, Udupi), Hemang Singh (20, Prayagraj), Mashaal Shaikh (21, Goa), Kurien Sebastian (20, Delhi) and Shayan Pattem (17, Hyderabad). The name OutStation reflects their roots outside Mumbai and their shared journey from small towns to national recognition.
Backed by UMI-affiliated talent management firm Represent and production house Jugaad Motion Pictures, OutStation is being positioned as a leading force in India’s emerging pop music scene.
With thousands of fans singing along in Guwahati and their debut single steadily gaining nationwide traction, OutStation is fast emerging as a defining voice of India’s new-age teen pop movement.
