Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the TVS Credit Technology Centre in Guwahati on Friday, marking a major step in strengthening the state’s technology ecosystem and generating high-skilled employment opportunities for local youth.
The facility, located at Nexia Tower, has been set up as part of the Advantage Assam initiative to attract investment in the digital and financial services sector. The centre will focus on developing digital platforms, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions to support TVS Credit’s operations nationwide.
Speaking at the inauguration, CM Sarma emphasised that such initiatives will help curb migration of talent from Assam while positioning Guwahati as a technology and innovation hub in the Northeast. The centre has already onboarded technology professionals and plans to expand its workforce in the coming years.
Officials from TVS Credit and the Assam government highlighted that the centre will play a key role in advancing digital workflows and innovative solutions, contributing to Assam’s vision of becoming a preferred destination for technology-driven enterprises.
Senior government officials and company representatives were present at the inauguration.
