Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma started campaigning for upcoming Lok Sabha election with cycle rally in Majuli, Assam on April 1.
Party members supported and joined CM who began the cycle rally with over hundred others following him on cycle.
CM will campaigin from April 1 to till April 12, Sarma said in a medi, he is confident of BJP winning maximum seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections that will begin from April 19.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to arrive in Assam for campaign on April 6.
Sarma said to the reporters in BJP headquaters, Shah is set to address rallies in the Lakhimpur parliamentary constituency and in Hojai which falls under Kaziranga seat. He amentioned that candidates have already initated their campaign in their respective constituencies addressing 10 to 12 meetings daily.
Sarma, stressed the importance of socio- ecomonic surveys conducted by booth committees to inclusivity goverenment schemes pleding to post elections.
Addressing concerns about the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), the need for resolving certain issues and need resolution after the Lok Sabha election.
