On March 12, the implementation of Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA), activisit from Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti, Chhatra Mukti Sangram Samiti and Raijor Dal have been detained by the police.
The security measures have been increased all over the Assam, with additional police personnel to maintain order.
CAA, enacted in 2019, has been debates and protest with critics arguing that it undermines the secular fabrics of the country.
On Monday, the Centre accounced the implementation of the CAA 2019.
