The Prinicipal of Cachar College in Silchar, Siddhartha Sankar Nath, has been suspended on allegations of malpractices during Higher Secondary Examination on February 19, 2024.
During the pending departmental proceedings against Siddhartha Sankar Nath, he has been placed under suspension, as per as Section 6 Sub-section 1(a)of the Assam services (Discipline and Appeal) rules, 1964as an official notice on February 21.
The order (DHE-CeOMisc/123/2024-General) signed by Pompi Barua, ACS, Director Of Higher Education Assam, issued by Wedensday, in the suspension order it is stated during the period of suspension, Siddhartha Sankar Nath is entitled to recieve a subsitence allowance under FR 53 (i) (a) for a initial 3 months. He is bound by the condition not to leave the headquaters without the prior approval of the component authority.
