Chairmain of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Mukesh Ambani is gearing up to unveil its own version of a ChatGPT service for India next month. Named "Hanooman", this AI model with developed with top of engineerings schools and back by the consortium of Reliance industries and eight universites is set to debut in next month.
At a recent tech conference held on Tuesday, BharatPe group has been announced and supported by Reliance Industries and eight prominent universities demonstrated the model. Its versatility by interacting in various languages including Tamil, Hindi addressing queries from a diverse audience a video was shown to the delegates, wherein a motorcycle machanic to a banker and a developer.
If the model is turn out to be successful it will mark significant stride for India in the horse race to create revolutionary AI technology, the report further they are planning to use the model in 11 different local languages, focusing on healthcare, goverenment service, finance and education. They will collabartion with Indian Instutuion of Technology campuses, especially Bombay with assistance from Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited and Indian Goverenment.
Ganesh Ramkrishan, from IIT Bombay's Department of Computer Science and Engineering that Hanooman will also offer speech-to-text capabilities thereby, making it more convient for its users. AI platform intended to serve around 450 million subscribers.
The report also mentioned that customised model for specific uses will be used by Reliance Jio.
